Open Access Week 2019: OpenEdition in Avignon, Strasbourg and Dakar
Open Access Week runs between 21 and 27 October. It is an international event which allows everyone to discover initiatives that aim to promote open access to research results and for which this year’s theme is “Open for Whom? Equity in Open Knowledge”. The OpenEdition team will speak in Avignon, Strasbourg and Dakar, alongside many partners.
Open Access Week Avignon
Sandra Guigonis (head of the Journals department) will speak on 24 October at the Library of Avignon on an Open Access Week day on “mechanisms to promote research”: presentation by OpenEdition at 14:00, followed by participation in a roundtable at 15:00 about “Open Access from publishers’ point of view”.
Open Access Week Strasbourg
Marie Pellen (Director of OpenEdition) and Mathieu Orban de Xivry (OpenEdition R&D developer) will participate in the conference “Edition and Open Science – what are the consequences of broadcasting platforms on open edition in social sciences? ” organised by the University of Strasbourg, on 24 October from 14:00 to 17:00.
Open Access Week Dakar
Elsa Zotian (head of the Scientific events department) will present a poster on Calenda for the international symposium “Open science in the South – Issues and Perspectives for a new dynamic”, 23 to 25 October in Dakar.
