OpenEdition’s 2025 Training Schedule
OpenEdition offers free training sessions for users in charge of publishing content (journals, books, research blogs) online on our platforms using the open-source software solutions Lodel and WordPress. These remote or in-person sessions are organized on a regular basis in Paris, Lyon and Marseille.
WordPress training for Hypotheses
This is a one-day remote or in-person training course. It is designed for users who already have a research blog or wish to start one, and teaches you to create, configure and personalize a research blog. There are two levels available: basic and advanced.
Level 1
- 7 February 2025 – Remote session
- 29 April 2025 – Remote session
Level 2
- 21 March 2025 – Remote session
- 6 May 2025 – Remote session
Lodel training for OpenEdition Books and OpenEdition Journals
The in-person or remote training sessions take place over two days, or over a three-week asynchronous learning period for journals. Sessions are only open to publishing teams who are already OpenEdition members or applying for membership, and open access scientific journal incubators from the Repère network. They are intended for people who want to learn or consolidate their knowledge about how to publish works online with Lodel.
Publishing for OpenEdition Journals (Lodel 1)
- From 3 to 25 February 2025 – Asynchronous online training (10 hours)
- 24 and 25 March 2025 – In-person training in Lyon
- From 12 May to 2 June 2025 – Asynchronous online training (10 hours)
- 10 and 11 June 2025 – In-person training in Paris
Publishing for OpenEdition Books (Lodel 2)
- 3 and 4 March 2025 – Remote session
- 24 and 25 March 2025 – In-person training in Lyon
- 10 and 11 June 2025 – In-person training in Paris
